Global South Access Summit

13 March 2026 | 11:00 AM GMT | Virtual (Zoom)

The Global South Access Summit is a Global South led NGO coalition convening dedicated to challenging structural inequities in United Nations participation. While civil society engagement is central to multilateral legitimacy, grassroots organizations across the Global South continue to face systemic exclusion driven by funding disparities, restrictive visa regimes, limited access to UN speaking slots, and geographic concentration of decision making power.

This Summit moves beyond dialogue for its own sake. It is a strategic space to collectively name barriers, surface lived realities, and advance coordinated advocacy for reform. Through moderated discussion and thematic breakout sessions, participants will identify priority obstacles, agree on realistic immediate actions, and outline longer term structural reform demands aimed at democratizing access within UN processes.

The objective is clear: shift participation from symbolic inclusion to meaningful influence. If multilateralism is to remain credible, it should be accessible.
