Band B-1
Representation of UN Accredited NGOs in Geneva, New York, and Vienna

Many Southern NGOs with UN consultative status are hampered by the ongoing global donor funding crisis. While this status allows NGOs to submit written communications, deliver oral statements, attend events and conferences, and network with experts and diplomats at UN headquarters, such engagement is increasingly hindered by financial and logistical constraints particularly the costs of flights, accommodation, and related expenses required to ensure physical representation in Geneva, New York, and Vienna.
Under Band B-1, Global Divide provides enhanced visibility and strategic representation for Southern NGOs at the UN and other international policy forums by leveraging its network of policy consultants based in these cities. We work with client NGOs through liaison officers situated across different geopolitical regions of the Global South. We assign team policy consultants who collaboratively draft written submissions and assist in their expert presentation and broader representation at international policy forums with respect to specific policy or human rights issues.
Global Divide emphasises the importance of preserving the voices of grassroots changemakers. Our model is collaborative and ensures that grassroots narratives remain intact and central to international discourse. The vast majority of our policy consultants in Geneva, New York, and Vienna, while possessing academic and career experience across different geopolitical regions, are from the Global South or of Global South descent, underscoring our emphasis on lived global south experience.
