Band C is where Global Divide’s vision comes alive. Of the estimated 12 million NGOs recognised globally, only 6,616 hold consultative status with the United Nations. This status grants rare access to high level UN discussions, the ability to deliver oral presentations, submit position papers, collaborate with member states, and host parallel events during global summits. The existing gap is a consequence of procedural and technical opacity of engaging international policy bodies and absence of resources. We incubate less-resourced Global South NGOs and help them confidently step into international policy spaces.

Additionally, we create peer-to-peer coalitions of global south civil societies in order to foster resource sharing, built on shared issues, real grassroots experiences, and mutual trust. Here, Southern expertise sets the agenda. Local priorities drive action. By working together, these NGOs build greater collective influence, speak with shared purpose, and foster Global South mutualism as a catalyst for development. Grassroots-led policy advocacy could influence millions more in affected communities, as these groups often work where governments and international agencies have limited reach. The cycle of dependency on Northern intermediaries could shift toward equitable partnerships.
